Very well maintained example of the mark 1 Yarmouth 23
well equipped and much loved by her current owner.
Freya was launched in 2001 and has been in the same ownership since then. She was the first Yarmouth 23 to have a moulded heads unit. Modifications were specified during the build to include bookshelves above the side lockers, mainsail furling lines brought back to the cockpit, and a holding tank. Since then an optional conversion has been fitted to use the main saloon as a full size double bunk.
Until 2011 she was based in Cornwall, but then was taken by road to the top of the Adriatic and sailed down the coast of Croatia, ending up in Corfu (details can be found on the owner’s blog https://y23freya.wordpress.com). She stayed there until May 2014, drawing a lot of attention and providing huge fun, until she was brought back by road to Cornwall.
In the last three years she has been used very little, but the mast was re-varnished in 2015 and the engine fully serviced by the local dealer in 2016. She is currently stored under cover in Cornwall with the mast down.
